Competitive Access. Protocol
Reference: ICTS
Bioimagen Complutense has two equipment units classified as unique and singular by the Advisory Committee on Singular Infrastructures of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities:
* BIOSPEC 94/30 with cryoprobe and PET insert
* ICON-1T
Both pieces of equipment are available to the entire scientific community, both national and international, in the public and private sectors, who can access them under the terms of Competitive Open Access (AAC) or On-Demand Access (AaD).
COMPETITIVE OPEN ACCESS (COA)
Access mechanism through calls for proposals published periodically on the website of the Distributed ICTS ReDIB, of which Bioimagen Complutense is a member.
This competitive access to the use of unique infrastructures is evaluated and prioritized based on criteria of scientific and technical excellence and subject to technical feasibility in accordance with the ReDIB public protocol, with the support of the experts who make up the ICTS Access Committee.
ON-DEMAND ACCESS (AaD)
This is a form of access without subsidy that does not include mechanisms for evaluating scientific quality, but only studies its technical feasibility. On-demand access can be requested at any time via the ICTS ReDIB website, which redirects you to BioImaC, or directly from Bioimagen Complutense by submitting the corresponding On-Demand Access Application Form.
The attached diagram illustrates the different mechanisms for accessing the unique infrastructures of the ICTS Bioimagen Complutense.
