Cell sorting by flow cytometry

Cell separation by flow cytometry or Cell Sorting is a technique of physical separation of particles based on the differential expression of one or several parameters that can be analyzed by analytical flow cytometry techniques. The individual cells are "interrogated" by the laser as in a cytometer analyzer but sorter makes droplets of constant size and, depending on the fluorescence that is present, is assigned a type of charge and when passing between two charged plates that establish an electric field between them, they will deviate towards the plate that has opposite polarity , so that each type of drop is collected in a different tube.
