PANalytical Multi-Purpose Diffractometer model X'Pert PRO MPD Pharmacy

Built around a goniometer in th-th vertical configuration (the sample is always flat and static) and equipped with Cu X-ray tube and with different sets of optics and interchangeable sample holder platforms.

The available incident beam optics, both for linear and point focus, are:

- programmable divergence slit (allows to work in fixed divergence or constant irradiated length)
- monocapillary (provides spot beam of 100um in diameter)

The available diffracted beam optics are:

- set of programmable anti-scatter and reception slits with curved secondary monochromator and proportional Xe sealed detector
- fast detector X'Celerator

The sample platforms are:

- simple shaft for powder samples
- multi-purpose platform
- platform for microdifraction
- spinner device for measurements in reflection or transmission
- Device for rotation of samples ("spinner") for measurements by transmission of samples in capillary.
