Dron MD4-1000

DRON model MD4-1000. Corresponding to the Departmental Unit of Geodesy and Cartography, it is operated by the CAI of Archeometry. The Drone or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is designed to perform field tasks such as documentation, coordination, exploration, prospecting, communication, inspection and observation. It stands out for its large load capacity allowing professional cameras to be mounted for FULL HD video recording, other notable aspects of this equipment is the wide autonomy as well as being able to fly in adverse weather conditions. With an approximate weight of 4,300 gr, it can transport up to 1,200 gr. Its maximum flight range is 50 minutes and the activity temperature is between -20º and + 45ºC, with its maximum flight height of 500m. Its flight modes are RC, GPS and Waypoints and it supports winds up to 10-13 m / s.
So far it has been used in the documentation of archaeological sites through orthophotos and digital elevation models, as well as in the environmental study of erosive processes by applying the multispectral camera.
