Acquisition of new GC-QqQ-MS equipment at the Mass Spectrometry Unit of the Complutense University of Madrid.

In April 2022, a GC QqQ MS equipment, models 8890 GC system and 7000D GC/TQ from Agilent, was installed in the Mass Spectrometry Unit of the UCM. This equipment will allow trace analysis of volatile and thermally stable compounds. It is the fourth generation version of this type of analyzers and provides unequivocal robustness to offer results with high sensitivity and selectivity, allowing to work, among others, in MRM mode.
