Acquisition of new LC-QTOF-MS equipment at the Mass Spectrometry Unit of the Complutense University of Madrid.

In november 2021, an LC-QTOF-MS equipment, model impact II, ultrahigh resolution from Bruker, was installed in the Mass Spectrometry Unit of th UCM. This equipment will allow trace analysis from complex matrices reaching sensitivities of the order of picograms and obtaining a mass accuracy better than 1 ppm.

This new acquisition combines the robustness of orthogonal time of flight instruments with 10 bit digitizing technology that allows the detection and identification of compounds in an unmatched dynamic range, making this instrument the right mass spectrometer for untargeted metabolimics studies.
