BioImaC New High-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Equipment
Installation of the new equipment at BioImagen Complutense (BioImaC)
BioImagen Complutense (BioImaC) is currently in the process of installing its new high-field Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Equipment, which has been acquired by the UCM and financed with ‘NextGeneration’ funds from the European Union. The equipment has a magnetic field of 9.4 teslas and is equipped with a cryoprobe and PET insert.
The reception of the new equipment at BioImaC's premises took place in the early hours of 3 September, a complex operation given the dimensions, weight and sensitivity of the device.
Over the next few weeks, the manufacturer's specialised technicians will be fine-tuning the equipment and putting it into operation. We hope to offer BioImaC users the services of this equipment from next October.
