Participation of the CAI of Archaeometry and Archaeological Analysis in the Cantarranas Charter on the protection of historic gardens

24/10/2025

Within the recent approval of the National Archaeology Plan, approved at the 97th Council of Historical Heritage, held on October 23 and 24 at the Spanish Academy in Rome, the texts of several national plans were approved. These include the Research in Cultural Heritage Conservation plan, the National Plan for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and the Cultural Landscape plan, which aligns with the new strategic lines and the challenges posed for landscapes by the Council of Europe, in the year that marks the 25th anniversary of the Florence Charter. At this important gathering, the Cantarranas Charter on intervention in historic gardens was also approved, aiming to become a reference text at both the national and international levels in this field. This charter will help consolidate the foundations for the protection of historic gardens.
