Preclinical MRI/PET Imaging services at BioImaC

07/08/2025

Up and running the new BioImaC High Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Unit with cryoprobe and PET insert.

BioImaC has completed the installation and commissioning of its new 9.4T Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Equipment equipped with a cryoprobe and PET Insert.

This advanced equipment makes it possible to offer BioImaC users preclinical IRM/PET imaging services, facilitating the acquisition of high-resolution, high-contrast morphological images of soft tissues (IRM), as well as highly sensitive functional images (PET).

Thanks to this technology, it is possible to obtain morphological and functional information in vivo in a minimally invasive manner. This is achieved because both magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography are acquired simultaneously, significantly reducing the animals' exposure time to anesthesia.

The service is already available to users. To request it, please submit the form included on the BioImaC website.

For more information, please contact the center's staff via the phone numbers and email addresses listed on their website.

Equipment financed with NextGenerationEU funds.
