Unit staff participate as teachers in the CSIC Training Office Course at ICTAN
The course: "Elemental Analysis of Organic and Agri-Food Samples. Determination of Metals, Metalloids, and Non-Metals" held from May 19 to 22, 2025, was highly appreciated by the participants.
The course, aimed at CSIC staff and coordinated by Gonzalo Guerrero and Cecilia Mateos of the Analytical, Instrumental, and Microbiological Techniques Service Unit (USTA) of the Institute of Food Science and Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN-CSIC), was held from May 19 to 22, 2025. Its objective was to provide training for the determination of metallic, metalloid, and nonmetallic chemical elements in various matrices using techniques such as High Resolution Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (HR-CS AAS), Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), and Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), among others.
Teresa Benito and Olga Martín, staff of the Geological Techniques Unit, participated by teaching theoretical and practical classes on ICP-MS and ICP-OES, respectively. Their dedication and contribution were highly appreciated by the participants.
