Spectrophotometry UV-Vis

In spectrophotometry, the absorption of electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet and visible part of the spectrum is used.
When a monochromatic electromagnetic radiation beam passes through a solution, it is absorbed by the molecules that constitute it, emitting a radiation of less intensity. The Lambert-Beer Law control this process of absorption.
It is fundamentally used for the determination of the concentration of an analyte in a liquid sample.
