The UCM joins the COSCE agreement of transparency in animal research

First Spanish institution to be part of the European Association for Animal Research (EARA)

The Complutense University of Madrid confirms its commitment to transparency in the use of animals for research with the publication of a web page: https://www.ucm.es/investigacionanimal/ in which the investigations carried out in this field are described University that involve the use of animals.
 
Its objective is to communicate and explain, both internally and externally, the scientific need for the use of research animals, always within the current legal ethical framework and preserving their well-being.
 
To make this activity more transparent, the Complutense University of Madrid has adhered to the transparency agreement in animal research, promoted by the Confederation of Scientific Societies of Spain (COSCE: http://www.cosce.org/), and has become the first Spanish institution to become part of the European Association for Animal Research (EARA)
