Thermal Analysis (TG, ATD, DSC)

The main applications of this technique are: study of thermal decompositions of organic and inorganic substances, corrosion of metals in different atmospheres at different temperatures, reactions in solid state, calcination of minerals, pyrolysis of coal and wood. The Differential Scanning Calorimetry also allows the study of phase transitions in solids, determination of reaction enthalpies, determination of solid-solid and solid-gas reaction kinetics.
