ICTS Complutense Bioimaging
The Complutense Bioimaging Center (BioImaC) is a Research Support Center of the Complutense University of Madrid that provides advanced preclinical biological imaging services, including anatomical, functional, and molecular imaging. The center offers scientific and technical support in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Computed Tomography (CT), and Optical Imaging (bioluminescence and fluorescence), as well as high-resolution NMR spectroscopy applied to biological samples using the HR-MAS (High-Resolution Magic Angle Spinning) technique.
BioImaC integrates state-of-the-art technological infrastructures operated by highly qualified personnel and makes them available to the research community to foster biomedical, preclinical, and veterinary research.
The center is organized into two differentiated units, each with specific equipment and access protocols:
-CAI BioImaC, which provides access to non-singular equipment managed through the on-demand access system of the Research Support Centers (CAI) of the Complutense University of Madrid.
-ICTS BioImaC, which provides access to singular equipment classified as unique scientific infrastructures by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, through competitive open-access calls of the Distributed Network of Biomedical Imaging Infrastructures (ReDIB) or via the ReDIB on-demand access protocol.
Request and booking procedures are carried out through differentiated platforms (“BioImaC” or “ICTS”), depending on the type of equipment.
